It’s been awhile since I have done a post like this and I thought it would be fun! I enjoy sharing my favorites with you and hearing what you have been loving lately! So without further ado, let’s get into it!
Bethel’s – Victory
I have been listening and worshiping to this like it’s my job! Drenched in Love has been my stay for a month now and it has really kept my mind focused on the right things.
Crowder’s – I Know A Ghost
This album definitely has some grunge in it, but Hundred Miles, Ghost and Red Letters are awesome songs about His love and Grace for us.
Spotify’s – Brain Food Playlist
This playlist has kept me company so much this month. I need some chill music to help me focus and block out distractions when I am working at home on the computer, so this has been it for me.
Through Juniper Vale – Bird Song and Singin in the Rain
Love this girl and her unique style and voice! Singin in the Rain is one of my favorite musicals and her rendition of it had me jamming in the car lots of times this month. Bird song is my other favorite because it really describes a current WIP and the main character.
Hans Zimmer – Blue Planet Soundtrack
Just another awesome sauce album from Hans Zimmer that has been keeping me company while I work and write this month.
~Movies and TV Shows~
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
This move was fantastic! A great rounded ending for the movie series that captured my heart. How dragons and Vikings can give me all the feels is beyond me, but I cried and I laughed so hard during this movie. And baby Hiccups and Toothless’s are so ADORABLE!
Run the Race
Sorta miffed about a certain plot twist in this movie that left me and my friend sobbing. But this movie was fantastic and I really want to see it again and I just watched it a few days ago. Great story work, awesome message, heartwarming characters and some of the best banter I’ve gotten to experience in a long time.
Chicago PD (Catching up on the latest season)
I can’t wait till I can afford to snatch up the previous seasons on amazon, but for now the current season had me hooked. This one is definitely intense and not for younger viewers. My favorite character has been Antonio. He is an older, more mature version of the young studs on the show and I love that they have several mature characters who are loyal, good examples and even family men to round out the stereo typical cast of young, model like, hot headed heroes.
Giant Country by Emory R. Frie
I haven’t finished this one yet but I am well on my way. I’ve really enjoyed this unique series since I first got book one back when it was published. I have eagerly awaiting this book and can’t wait for the next and final installment already! If you like unique, somewhat dark fairytale retellings, you will really enjoy this series.
The Sky Above us by Sarah Sundin
I got to review this beauty for the Bookworm Banquet and it was a fantastic historical read. Probably one of my favorite Sundin books that I’ve read. The fighter pilot aspect was well done and I really enjoyed it. You can read my full review here.
My new floral mug
I got this mug for my birthday and I am in love! It doesn’t spill when the lid is closed, it keeps my coffee relatively hot. . . and its FLORAL! *spins in a circle*
My blutooth speaker
I got this last Black Friday and I have been really getting a lot of use out of it lately. It is the only way I can listen to my own music in my car so I have really enjoyed that aspect of it. I slap this puppy on the dash of my car and crank up the tunes! No, I wasn’t belting worship music in the car for 40 minutes at all yesterday, why do you ask?
These cozy sweaters from Target
These sweaters are life! I love love love the soft feel and they are just so comfy and cute as we keep getting dumped on with winter weather. And they were on clearance, so yeah. That’s awesome.
Loreal 24 hour Infallible Foundation
I finally found a drugstore foundation that I like! So happy. You have no idea. I’ve tried so many and this is the most natural looking one that works with my skin and doesn’t flake off by the end of the day. And while I love the Bare Minerals that I’ve tried, it’s just too darn expensive for this girl.
My new haircut. 😀
Eep! It looks just like the picture that I showed my stylist and I’m in love! I can’t wait to play with it a bit more and see what it does with my natural curl. I figured I might as well enjoy it short for a while before I grow it back out. It does feel weird not having hair on my neck though. Not really sure how I feel about that. I feel compelled to wear a scarf all the time now. *shrug*
There you have it! My extensive (sorry about the length) list of February Favorites! What do you think? Should I do this kind of post monthly? Do you guys want to see what I have been loving each month?
By God’s Grace,
