Situations can always be different, but I have had many times in my life where saying “thank you” was harder than it sounded. I always wanted to do something a little extra, but coming up with the perfect idea can be a little tricky sometimes. But with some extra forethought, you can come up with the perfect way to say thank you to those around you. Here are 7 of my favorite ideas below! Make sure you comment and tell me which one is your favorite!

1~ A handwritten note.

People don’t really write thank you notes anymore and I think it’s a crying shame. But, it also makes it even more meaningful these days. The fact that you took time to write a handwritten note of thanks is an amazing way to show your appreciation.

2~ A verbal, meaningful acknowledgement.

Pulling someone aside and taking a moment to really look them in the eye and share from your heart why you are grateful and how much it meant to you will really be a blessing. People don’t always communicate that well anymore, so taking the time to be thoughtful and well spoken will really brighten someone’s day.

3~ Make them Food

I love to bake, so this one is right up my alley. Making someone a dessert or baked good, or even a meal, depending on the circumstances, can really be a great way to bless them and thank them for what they did.

4~ A small gift.

This is where you can be super fun and creative. It really just depends on the person, but some things I have given as a thank you have been small jewelry, a mug, a book, etc. Things that can be a thoughtful purchase that you know will make them happy or touch them in a special way. For instance, my friend knows I love mountains, so a tiny necklace with a mountain range on it made my heart so happy.

5~ A gift card.

This one is super easy, but can also be incredibly thoughtful. Sometimes, it is a blessing to people to be able to have an excuse to go somewhere they wouldn’t normally for dinner or shop for something they wouldn’t normally purchase for themselves.

6~ Do something special.

Depending on the circumstances, this can be a great way to show your appreciation. Taking someone to dinner, making them a meal, or treating them to coffee or a coffee date can be a kind gesture.

7~ Reciprocate their help.

Being available and willing, or even just jumping in to help out can really show someone how grateful you are for all that they do!

There you have it! Seven tried and true ways to show someone you are grateful! What are some ways that you say thank you?
