My favorite movies for Christmas! We try to watch these movies every year for Christmas. I hope you check them out and enjoy them as much as our family does!
It’s A Wonderful Life
Ok, in my opinion, this may be the best movie in the whole wide world!!!!! I look forward to watching this every year and I by the end of the movie, I am wiping tears with a huge smile on my face as I sing “Auld Lang Syne”. Such a beautiful story that tugs at the hearts strings and makes you see yourself and everyone around you just a little differently and with more compassion. I cannot say enough about this movie! It holds such a treasured place in my heart!
The Polar Express
Now, while none of us believe in the traditional Santa Clause, this movie is still really awesome. It was adapted from a book that was written by someone that lives in a town close to us. You can see lots of cool references to Down Town Grand Rapids as you watch the movie. Plus, it has Tom Hanks in it! Uhhh. . . what could go wrong with that? A very entertaining film!
The Little Drummer Boy
We don’t watch this movie every year, but I have fond memories watching it as a little girl. It was one Daddy remembers from his childhood. A charming Claymation rendition of the classic tale behind the Little Drummer Boy. You have to watch this at least once!
The Nativity Story
This movie was truly beautiful. I take it with a grain of salt and realize that no one can ever really capture perfectly what truly happened in the bible. But I also see this as a beautiful symbol of what God did for us sending His son to earth in the humble form of a babe. Being born surrounded by animals in a lowly stable. I see how Mary was just a young girl, younger than me who was probably frightened and overwhelmed that God chose her for such a great task. I see Joseph who was also probably frightened as he followed God and went past tradition and perhaps his own feelings to take Mary for a wife and raise the Christ Child as his own.
So that wraps up my must sees!
What did you think? Have you seen any of these? What are your favorite Christmas Movies? I would love to hear!

Victoria
“Christmas in Connecticut” is one of my favorites as well as “White Christmas” and “Miracle on 34th St.” (old version). Ooh, and Alister Sims “A Christmas Carol”! There’s just something about those old movies!
