Since Wednesday’s are my writing days on the blog, I decided to do a post updating you all on my writing goals. As you may have guess by the title, they are kind of crazy!

So, I have, in my possession, a complete first draft of a novel. As well as a Tween/Teen book that is also finished. Written by me of course!  My goal is to have them both published by the end of September. I know I know, crazy talk right there! LOL! For clarification, that goal is Lord Willing. Who knows what might come my way in the next few months. I have a deadline, but life and family take precedence. So that being said, I have a lot to do in preparation and I am slightly overwhelmed, seeing as how my novel needs to be rewritten to a certain extent. A certain somebody in the story needs some fleshing out as well. Last week, I laid out all of my resources and about hyperventilated!

So in this picture I had all three notebooks that have the handwritten first draft, as well as all of the plotting and outline. Then I had my printed copy of the book with all the notes I had made previously to editing or revising. I then have a copy that I gave a friend full of notes she made as well as several sheets of paper full of notes. Then a to do list!

In this picture, I have everything I had in my lap. Notebooks, pens, the rough draft and things to write on.

Here is me writing away on a piece I have to insert into the novel. This thing is currently just over 69,000 words! I am still so in awe of it all. I never thought I was capable of this. I can’t wait to release it to the world and all of you, but before then, I have a lot of work to do.

If you think of it, I would be greatly appreciative if you would pray for me that I would have clarity of mind, wisdom and guidance during this extensive process and that what God wants to be in the book would be in the book. Also, I want others to be blessed by this story.

This journey has been so amazing and I can’t wait to see the finished work in my hands! This is one of my encouraging quotes that I have pasted on my wall nearby where I write.

I believe that I can do this with God’s help, and I am so determined to polish this baby to perfection.
