Alright my lovelies! This week has been crazy! So much going on! And before I get to the rest of the post, let me get a bit of housekeeping out of the way. In case you missed the post, I am currently running a giveaway for Dare by Tricia Mingerink! You can check out my review of the last book of the series and enter the giveaway here!
As I said, things have been crazy busy this month. Added to my normally full schedule, I jumped into Camp Na No with two feet. Like, think huge ker-splash right into the deepest puddle you could think of. It has been a blast, and I plan on doing a full post about my experience with that, but it added a level of crazy to my already full month! I am super excited though, because I got a TON of writing done. Way more than I could have ever expected out of myself! I am so pleased! More on that later. . .
I am also full speed ahead planning and preparing for 2 possibly 3 craft sales that are back to back weekends. First one is this weekend, then next is a two day show, then after that, is our family business’s sale. Whew! that is a lot of merchandise to have ready! This week I have sewn up a ginormous stack of wallets, cut out a mess of headbands, and worked on a few other odds and ends thrown into the mix. I also was out with a cold for several days, so now it is crunch time to get some things done.
I am also preparing for our annual piano recital. *takes a deep breath* I am going to be playing the third movement of the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. *faints* I dare you to look up a video of someone playing it on the piano. It is 18 pages long!!!! And has the most difficult key signature that I have ever tackled. I swear Beethoven couldn’t make up his mind, because just when you get used to a note being a sharp, he then throws in several naturals, just to mess you up. *wails* WHY?!?!?!? It has been a long journey learning this piece. And when I say long, I mean almost a year. I started it last spring, so yeah, even though I didn’t really dedicate practice time to it till the fall. I have affectionately (and not so affectionately) nicknamed the piece, “The Beast”. That bout sums it up! But I am so thrilled that I can play the WHOLE THING through and am now working on memorizing and emoting while I play. In case you don’t know much about music, the first half of this paragraph may have been gibberish to you. . . sorry!
I have also been exercising on a consistent basis. Which feels so good, and I have a goal of this month getting stronger with body weight training, so that I can start lifting weights with my personal trainer mom at the gym in a month.
Add to all that, there has been much excitement and a lot of things shifting in my family. You know my brothers moved out, but we are all still getting used to that. It is changing so fast! Not sure sometimes if I am happy or sad at the turn of events. It still feels so bittersweet. But it is so awesome and God has such an awesome plan! That is what makes me super excited!
So, I hope I didn’t overload you with all the craziness that is life these days, but I hope you enjoyed the glimpse into my flawed, busy, but special world.
By the way, I loved this outfit! This tunic is one of my favorite “I brought it back home from Georgia” finds! I love the floral print, and the flow to it is so feminine!

I know all about impossible key signatures! The only things I hate more are double flats! My piano recital is coming up and I’m going to play the theme song to The Secret Garden but I haven’t quite mastered it yet. Movement three to Moonlight Sonata is a much harder piece and it’s a great accomplishment to play it through to the end! You should record yourself playing it and write a blog post about the song or Beethoven! That would be so cool!

Wow, I didn’t know you were *that* good at piano! That’s awesome! I could never play something that complicated lol
Wow, that is neat! You must be really talented in order to play that!!!!!! I love playing piano, but I don’t think I am at that level yet! 😉 And nice outfit!!! It really looks good on you!!!!!!!!!
God bless!

Loooooooooove that tunic!!! FLoral is my absolute favorite!!!
Oh my goodness! I’m sure it took a lot of talent and hard work to learn that piece! (And it’s so long!) What key is it in?!
It definitely took a long time to learn it. It is in C sharp minor I believe, though, he always throws a bunch of naturals in there. . . LOL!
🙂 I don’t know if this is just me or not, but it seems like sharps are harder than flats. Gotta love those accidentals and naturals…
Oh, Victoria! I know all about that song! That is so commendable that you can play it! I’m actually learning it right now. I love piano.
That is awesome! *highfive to another piano nerd!* I love piano too! How long have you been playing?
*highfive back* 🙂 I’ve been playing for about 4 years, I teach myself a lot. Also, a few posts back I gave you a comment-not sure if you saw it or not! It was on the post “Boho Tunic Outfit”. If not that’s okay!
