So not horribly productive this week. Well never mind, I was too. I just remembered I spent ALL DAY Monday working hard! I painted, washed and waxed an entire bedroom suite with Mama. A bed, desk, hope chest, dresser, mirror, and nightstand. And got a head start on some other pieces. Then Tuesday was “cleaning day” at our house, And I finally got to go to Hobby Lobby for some fabric for purses. Yesterday I worked on some White Chiffon Peony flower clip/pins and started cutting out bags. I have quite the method to cutting them. I cut a 15 foot by 12 foot drop clothe in half and wash it. Then I fold it just so, then lay it over a measuring mat and hope I’ll get 5 bags out of each half. Well I did! Today I cut out the other coordinating fabric for the purses and Ironed all of the handles and hems on the the pockets and ruffles. Standing over a steaming Iron, with the fan pointed at me and a burn on my thumb, and my music playing, I realized that I had cut up all drop clothe I had, and I had somehow forgotten to cut Ruffles!!!! Oh my word, No! Are you serious! The most important part of the bag is obviously the ruffles!! Now I have to wait till Saturday to get another drop clothe and I will have to just work on flowers tomorrow. And I guess I get to help baby sit my siblings tomorrow. Mama and Daddy are going on a much needed weekend away to a cottage on Lake Michigan, which my Wonderful Grand parents rented for two weeks. That’s where we were all last week! Yes the Lake was gorgeous and we really enjoyed our time there. Aren’t they the best! Thank you so much Nana and Grandpa!
But here is a picture of the neatly stacked bags waiting for their drop clothe ruffles, all ironed and ready to go.
Well I had a picture of them but it won’t upload to the computer. Must just be my day!
Going to choose to have fun and be happy tomorrow no matter what!!! You can’t get me down devil!
By His Grace,
Victoria
