So. . . I rarely do this with books, but my time has been in far too short of supply lately to finish books I’m not enjoying. But let me preface my review with the fact that this is not a bad book and most would probably find great enjoyment in it.

The Likeable: heart wrenching events that take place right away, making you root and want to protect/hug the main character. Swiftly flowing plot and enough suspense to keep you wanting to turn the pages and finish reading. If you are a sucker for romantic suspense, you will probably greatly enjoy it.

The unlikable: This is just my opinion, but personally I found the drama turned way too far up for my liking. It’s just too intense. One of the lines for instance was the girl coughed and the dude felt like “a dull knife was twisting his insides”. Over the fact that she coughed? A little too intense and there is a lot of drama that I found just a tad on the annoying side of things.

Like I said, if you enjoy romantic suspense, don’t hesitate to give this a try, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Have you read this book? What do you think?

By God’s Grace,
