Hello Everyone! Super dooper fun over here today! I Finished the star for my quilt and laid it all out to organize the rows! It looks fabulous if I do say so myself! I can’t take all the credit because I had quite a bit of help from the Peanut Gallery! (cue Dad and brother Josiah! Daddy helped me figure out the measurements for the center square. I was originally do the thing where you cut out the missing pieces to ‘fill in the puzzle’ so to speak. It was so hard to wrap my little brain around and Daddy finally convinced me after much procrastination on my part, to just top stitch the star to the square. Not wanting to cop out, and tried to cut the puzzle pieces. But I could not figure it out for the life of me. And I am so glad Dad convinced me! It looks awesome! much better than it would have if I had done it my way.

So I folded the edges under, ironed it and top stitched it to the square.

All of the squares cut and ready!

After I finished that, I laid it in the middle of the living floor, of which I had pulled all of the chairs out of so as to make more room. So I put it in the middle got all of my squares ready, aaaand. . . stopped dead in my tracks wondering. “Now what on earth am I going to do?! What squares go where?!” I wanted some sort of a pattern. Besides there were too many squares to do it randomly!

I sat and thought and played around with squares for like 20 min. Before I finally got tired of figuring it out on my own and called Dad as a last minute resort. Thanks Daddy for all of the help!

My little helper who is not so little any more. I think he enjoyed helping me and listening to music.

Me and my quilting buddy!

Then I deconstructed the quilt row by row and put the in ziplock bags marked so I know where it goes in the quilt.

No on to the sewing!
