I have to say. Nicole Deese is probably my favorite Christian Contemporary author. She writes stories with SO. Much. Heart.

Her words are beautiful, her writing style impeccable. It elicits so much emotion. I felt frustrated, surprised, teary eyed and even convicted many times throughout this story.

Val is a single mother and her story has some difficulties and bumps in the road that are near and dear to my heart. With the intro of a shelter that focuses on helping women who are looking for alternative opportunities for their children and a storyline that brushes on abortion several times… I was blown away.

This is the kind of fiction I wished more people wrote.

It’s impactful and beautiful, tactful and delicate about a topic that the world needs to be here.

It encourages gently, tugs on the heart strings and pours the cooling waters of life and love onto a blazing inferno of needs and arguments.

I loved the main characters so much. Miles and Val are beautiful, normal, human characters. Even Val’s son and the side characters were so vibrant and full of life that they even tugged on my heartstrings. Deese sees the characters in the wings and makes them as much a part of the story and center stage as the leads and it’s a beautiful example of the worth of each life.

A topic that leads the procession when it comes to this book.

You won’t want to miss out on this beautiful contemporary piece from Nicole Deese. Go buy it. Share it with friends, give it away. It’s a book I wish more people could read.

The world and the church needs this story.

Squeaky clean as far as content goes!
