This month has been one for the books! With plenty of time at home (who am I kidding. . . with all my time being spent at home) things have looked a little different than my normal life. Here are the things that have been my favorites this month.

Books:

~Before I Called you Mine by Nicole Deese~

You can read my review of this book here. It was a lovely spring/summer read and was amazing. I won’t gush about it anymore here because I did that sufficiently in my book review.

~Never Say Goodbye by Sarah Grace Grzy~

Yes, for all those inquiring minds, she is my sister. But this book is THE bomb, no matter the relation. 10 out of five stars. Do yourself a favor and go pre-order this gem! If you have a blog or Instagram and want to join the tour, you can check that out here!

Music:

Work Vibes: I pretty much always listen to music while working, especially at home and especially if I am working on my blog, Instagram, Graphic Design for my business or author stuff. It really helps me tune in and keep focused. Some of my favorite music for focus while writing has been anything by AK. Their upbeat vibes really help the energy stay up, but keep me focused because there are no words. For even more “chill” music, Christoffer Franzen, and my Relaxing/Thinking Playlist on Spotify have been my jam.

Avi Kaplan: His soulful, rollicking ballads make my soul happy! Check out all his new music! It’s amazing! You can see my compiled playlist for his music here.

Otherwise, you can check out my liked songs playlist on Spotify. I love cruising through that on any given day.

Movies/TV:

(Disclaimer, not all content is appropriate for all viewers and I often watch with selected vision, (aka fast-forwarding) If you are under the age of 18, please check with a parent before watching these)

Knives Out: This type of story really reminded me of one of my all time favorite mystery books, The Westing Game. It has a quirky, game-of-clue, sneaky vibe to it that is so creative and fresh. (Disclaimer: I watched with a Family Play Filter so that the copious language was cut out. Would highly recommend that.)

Downton Abbey: I know, I know. Everyone was on this freight train years ago, but I just started watching it with my parents and sisters and I must say, I’m mad in love.

Sense and Sensibility BBC: Just watched this with my sisters for a girls night and I’m so glad I bought it a year ago. It’s a lovely version and such an amazing Jane Austen movie.

The Resident: Unfortunately I got all caught up with this over the last few months and I’m bummed because I can no longer binge watch it (which is probably a good thing). But as a medical show lover, huge thumbs up. Except for the scenes I fast forward.

Random:

Leggings: Wearing leggings everyday during quarantine makes me super grateful for these favorite leggings. I’ve shared them before, but if you’re on the lookout, go check them out. Best ever.

My Mandolin: I’m ashamed to say that I have had this instrument for a year and haven’t had the time or gumption to pick it up. I decided it would be my quarantine instrument and I am pleased to say that I am learning a lot and can already play a proficient G scale, three songs and I have taught myself how to read Tab. *high-fives myself* Huge shout out to an amazing friend who decided to bless me with this instrument! Thank you for the gift! It still means so much to me and I am excited to continue to learn!

Qwirkle and Dutch Blitz: These are my two favorite family games right now. If you are looking for a new game, go no further! Am I good at them? Not really. Do I enjoy playing anyway? Yes.

What are some of your favorite things right now?
