Purchase and Synopsis

This book swept me away and I loved every minute of it! I knew in the last book when we met Phillip Camden that I would love him. I like particularly difficult characters, (having written one myself) and I love when you feel like fighting for someone who is presented as the anti-hero.

Ara was one of Roseanna’s characters that I felt like I could relate to the most. She has so many personality similarities to myself that I couldn’t help but fall in love with her and cheer her on from the very first moment. I can’t even quantify the many ways that we are similar. That always makes a book more enjoyable.

The historical storylines also made my heart pitter-patter. Honestly, I don’t know what to expound upon first because these books are my favorite and this author is the perfect mix of history, detail and amazing characters for me. I absolutely love her books!

She adds so much depth of character and really dives deep to unlock details about each person, their motives and personalities. Her stories are delightfully character driven and the history only suits to accent that beautifully instead of weighing down the story with too many details.

I always love reading the author’s note at the end and discovering what the real history behind her fictional characters and circumstances was. It is always fascinating to discover how close to the truth the story really is.

If you love historical fiction with subtle romance, delightful, deep characters and fascinating history, then you will adore this book! This is at the very top of the list for me when it comes to fiction. I would highly recommend it!

Blessings,
